A Kingdom institution where faith
and science serve together.

Keystone Institute is a Christ-centered nonprofit initiative operating under Romo Ministries Incorporated, a registered 501(c)(3) organization. We exist at the intersection of faith, science, medicine, education, ministry, missions, stewardship, outreach, innovation, and service — unified under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Founded by Dr. Eddie Romo — an ordained minister, research scientist, professor, and educator — Keystone Institute carries a singular conviction: that scientific excellence and Christian faith are not adversaries. Rigorous inquiry, medical compassion, and academic achievement can all be offered as acts of worship.

We serve students pursuing careers in medicine and science. We support medical missions and outreach to underserved communities. We partner with churches, laboratories, clinics, and universities to direct resources toward Kingdom impact. Everything we do is for the glory of God and the service of people.

Stewardship and responsibility — holding resources for the benefit of others
Unlocking opportunities for people in need through education, medicine, and mission
Connecting education, missions, outreach, and innovation under one calling

Three pathways for Kingdom service.

Student Support Pathway

Student Support Pathway

Through financial support, scholarships, mentorship, and mission opportunities, Keystone Institute is building a pathway for the next generation of Christian students pursuing medicine, healthcare, biology, scientific research, ministry, and education. This pathway exists so that a calling is never limited by resources alone.

Medical Missions Pathway

Medical Missions Pathway

Keystone Institute is building the partnerships and operational capacity to support medical missions and healthcare outreach to underserved communities. This pathway is designed to connect trained professionals, willing volunteers, and financial supporters with mission opportunities that bring care to those who need it most.

Our Foundation

About Keystone Institute
& What We Believe.

Founded on the conviction that faith and science serve the same Author of truth — and that rigorous inquiry, medical compassion, and Christian obedience are not competing callings, but one unified life of service.

Dr. Eddie Romo
Founder & President, Keystone Institute

Dr. Eddie Romo brings together a rare combination of calling and credential. An ordained minister, research scientist, professor, entrepreneur, and evangelist, Dr. Romo has spent his life at the intersection of faith and intellectual rigor — demonstrating through his own career that the two are not adversaries but partners in the pursuit of truth. Dr. Romo earned his B.S. and Ph.D. at the University of California, Davis.

Trained in the sciences and shaped by decades of ministry, Dr. Romo carries a deep conviction: the Church has an extraordinary, largely unrealized opportunity to deploy scientific knowledge and medical expertise in direct service to the Kingdom of God. Christians in medicine, research, and education are not simply professionals who happen to have faith — they are stewards of gifts that belong to God and can be offered back to Him through service.

Through Romo Ministries Incorporated, the 501(c)(3) organization that houses Keystone Institute, Dr. Romo is building a platform where students are equipped, missions are funded, churches are strengthened, and scientists find their professional expertise welcomed in Kingdom work. Everything he has built exists for the glory of Jesus Christ.

Our Statement of Faith.

Jesus Christ is central to everything Keystone Institute does. Our work — every scholarship, every mission, every partnership — flows from our faith in Him and our commitment to serve people in His name.

We believe that faith and rigorous science are not enemies. Scientific discovery, intellectual honesty, medical excellence, and stewardship of creation all ultimately point back to the glory of God — who is the Author of every truth we discover.

The following statements represent the doctrinal convictions that anchor our mission and guide our work.

"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Ephesians 2:10
1

We believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Salvation comes by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. He is Lord over all creation and the foundation of every true thing.

2

We affirm the authority of Scripture as the ultimate standard for faith, life, and the pursuit of truth.

3

We believe in the reality of human sin and the universal need for repentance, redemption, and the transforming grace of Jesus Christ.

4

We believe in the transforming work of the Holy Spirit — convicting, regenerating, and sanctifying believers toward holy and obedient lives offered in service to God.

5

We believe that scientific discovery and Christian faith are compatible. God is the author of all truth, and honest inquiry — wherever it leads — ultimately reveals His glory.

6

We are called to compassion and service. Serving others — particularly the poor, the sick, and the marginalized — is a fundamental expression of obedience to Christ.

7

We believe in faithful stewardship of every resource entrusted to us — financial, intellectual, relational, and material — for the glory of God and the good of others.

8

We are committed to Kingdom partnership, working with churches, ministries, scientists, medical professionals, educators, donors, and organizations wherever people can be served and Christ can be glorified.

A future where scientists, physicians, educators, and ministers work side by side — not in competition, but in collaboration — to serve people, advance truth, and glorify the God who created both faith and science.

03
Excellence

04
Impact
Every resource is directed toward measurable Kingdom outcomes in lives, communities, and institutions.
"We are not the owners of what we have been given. We are stewards — and stewards answer to the One who entrusted the resources."

Keystone Institute exists as a conduit — not an accumulator. Every dollar donated, every piece of equipment received, every organizational partnership formed is directed outward: toward students, missions, churches, and underserved communities.

Keystone Institute receives financial donations, educational resources, medical resources, scientific equipment, partnerships, volunteer support, and organizational support. These resources are redirected toward students, schools, missions, churches, medical outreach, underserved communities, educational opportunities, and Kingdom-focused initiatives.

We operate with the conviction that God holds us accountable not only for what we do, but for how we manage what He has placed in our hands. Faithful stewardship is not a policy. It is an act of worship.
